Grant McKelvie is thrilled after being named Samsung Digital Photographer of the Year last month. The Ayrshire-based photographer was picked out of a whopping 250,000 entries to win the national competition. Grant, who runs Dream Day Photography, won in the wedding and fashion category.
Prizes include a pile of Samsung goodies and a trophy, which Grant will receive at a glamorous Samsung awards ceremony. “I’m very proud to have won this accolade. It’s one of the biggest competitions I’ve ever won! I won thirteen awards last year and love to compete at such a high level because it keeps me motivated and keeps my photography up to a very high standard,” beams Grant.
We think Grant’s gonna need a bigger mantelpiece, if the 2015 awards come as thick and fast!
