Two years ago, the Ayrshire-based label’s directors Tracy Dunlop and Lorraine McRobert spotted a gap in the market for dainty dresses that were as individual as the little girl wearing them, so – loaded with inspiration from their daughters Sophie and Katie – they set about creating flower girl frocks that rocked!
Crafted from rich satin or light-as-a-feather tulle, there are three different ‘base’ dresses that can then be hand-customised by the company’s Ayrshire seamstress with diamante, lace, jewel trimming or applique – resulting in a totally one-off creation that’s the stuff of dreams.
You can currently find SophistiKatie flower girl dresses at five Scottish boutiques: Point Nouveau in Dunblane; Madison’s Bridal Boutique in Wishaw; Alana’s Bridal Lounge in Kilmarnock; Lily Amore Bridal in Troon and the soon-to-be-unveiled bridal boutique from the ladies behind Frox of Falkirk (opening January 2016)
