After meeting in Cairo, jetsetting duo Dawn and Joey got engaged on the shores of Loch Lomond and came back there just over a year later to say their vows at The Cruin.
Dawn’s eye-catching scarlet dress was central to the overall theme. Dawn dishes: “I saw a red dress and was adamant that I would be wearing that dress on my big day! I got the dress a year in advance and everything else, from the chair sashes to the cake, fell into place.”
The day was full of family and friends from far-flung places (Dawn’s Scottish, Joey’s American, Dawn used to live in Abu Dhabi and they now both live out in Cairo.) The 106 guests were kept amused by hilarious antics throughout the day – from when the Reverend Ian Miller dropped Joey’s wedding ring during the ceremony, to when Dawn said “Can I think about it?” during the vows!
Later on, the couple surprised everyone by breaking out into a choreographed routine halfway through their first dance, complete with inflatable props and Dawn’s own version of Donald Where’s Your Troosers! There to catch it all on camera was Graham Wilson. “He was fantastic,” attests Dawn. “He made everyone look gorgeous and didn’t impose on ceremony or reception. We appreciated the power to select the format and content of the wedding album.”
